ICEBERG 2021 New Music Institute

One of my announcements early last year included the fantastic opportunity of being internationally selected for the Iceberg New Music Institute alongside 15 other composers across the world. The time had finally arrived to undertake this two week course online (instead of in Vienna sadly) between July 19th-30th, where we experienced two weeks of lessons, masterclasses and more before the world premiere of a work we have written for Trio Immersio in Vienna, Austria.

The timezones were tricky and my second sem of post-grad law started in the middle of it, yet it was equally if not more exciting to meet and collaborate with musicians/composers worldwide. It was fantastic to see all our pre-recorded new works premiered on Youtube (at 1am SAT for Australia)! Thank you to the Iceberg team and Trio Immersio for having made this all happen, especially in our current climate where it could have easily been cancelled or postponed again.

“See through me” (2021) received its world premiere performance on the 30th of July 2021 at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, Austria.
