Starlit Sands commissioned by and written for Emma Winestone

(solo violin and piano)

Starlit Sands is a short work for violin and piano, providing an insight into my vision of ‘Australian life’ down in Beaumaris - by the coast and within the suburb. It’s secluded yet special, and the work aims to channel the calmness at night; the bustling community concourse; and the footprints being left in the beach sands.

This work was commissioned by and written for Emma Winestone, for her 2020 Final Honours Year Recital.

Violin: Emma Winestone
Piano: Rhodri Clarke

(This work was the basis for Robert McIntyre's 2021 Bayside Youth Arts Award Nomination)
