Win! ‘the distance between’ awarded the 2022 David Henkels Composition Award

Absolutely thrilled to announce that ‘the distance between’ has been awarded the 2022 David Henkels Composition Award!!

I am so grateful to the Musical Society of Victoria and the late David Henkel for this award, not only for the hugely generous and supportive $3000 prize, but also for the soon Australian premiere of the work at the 3MBS Melbourne 103.5FM Victorian Young Performer of the Year Award in late October, with live radio broadcast!!

Writing this work as part of Composing in the Wilderness 2022 was already one of the most enriching moments of my life and career to date, so to receive this recognition soon after it is completely heartwarming

More details are to come regarding the upcoming performance but for now I can reveal that it will be performed by the these incredible artists and friends:
